Shepherd Program: Elrod Fellowship Application
The Elrod Fellowship provides mentorship and programming for W&L students and young alumni interested in social impact careers. Our mission is to extend and integrate the learning of the Shepherd Program into participants’ post-graduation civic and professional lives. The program is currently located in Washington, D.C.

Personal Statement

The Shepherd mission is to understand and address the complex causes and consequences of poverty and inequality in ways that respect the dignity of every person. The John and Mimi Elrod Fellowship connects students interested in working for innovative public interest organizations after graduation with alumni mentors. That is who we are.
